In news we apparently all missed Australia is rich. As a country we have zero debt and therefore the marvellous Turnbull government has decided to splash nearly $1 million on an inquiry to prove what we already know: politics has declared a war on men.

The Australian Human Rights Commission will launch a 12-month independent national inquiry into sexual harassment in the workplace. All Australians will be able to lodge submissions, but…

Sex discrimination commissioner Kate Jenkins will carry out the investigation. The announcement was made by Jenkins and the minister for women, Kelly O’Dwyer. The Minster for women says funds are in alignment with improving women’s safety.

“The timing was right, the appetite for change is there, and we have all the functions to make sure we can help Australia lead the globe on finding new solutions for sexual harassment,” Jenkins said. “The ultimate aim is we will have much better guidance on how to prevent and respond to sexual harassment in the current climate.”

There will be a focus on the financial consequences of women who are targeted in the workplace.

Jenkins added, “I don’t talk about my experience a whole lot but certainly in my work experience, I think like so many women, I experienced sexual harassment.”

She added, “Like many women, I could say ‘me too’ but that is a big driver behind why I think everyone is interested to change that experience.”

Nothing like voicing a clear bit of gender bias before the $900,000 project has even begun.

Tracey Spicer swiftly applauded the inquiry while various feminists merrily joined the chorus of praise.

Doesn’t this tell us everything we need to know about this inquiry? Could this be a world first because it’s a spectacular waste of money?

Why not save all hard working Australians the cash and just award women with a hefty allowance for being female? Or simply put men and their rancid “toxic masculinity” in separate sheds while the women take over all offices across the country?

I’m reminded of the recent Washington Times opinion piece which stated, “So men, if you really are #WithUs and would like us to not hate you for all the millennia of woe you have produced and benefited from, start with this: Lean out so we can actually just stand up without being beaten down. Pledge to vote for feminist women only. Don’t run for office. Don’t be in charge of anything. Step away from the power. We got this. And please know that your crocodile tears won’t be wiped away by us anymore. We have every right to hate you. You have done us wrong… #BecausePatriarchy. It is long past time to play hard for Team Feminism. And win.”

Ahh, equality.
