Youths.  Just another night in Melbourne:

Hundreds of youths have allegedly bashed and robbed tourists amid a series of wild brawls on Melbourne’s St Kilda’s foreshore this morning.

Police struggled to contain the situation as young people of African appearance fought each other and assaulted bystanders…

Shocking video has emerged showing young men and woman kicking, punching and slapping each other as dozens of onlookers shout abuse.

Police were called to The Esplanade about 2.55am after 60 youths trashed a McDonald’s restaurant, throwing chairs and smashing a window.

It followed a series of assaults and robberies along the Esplanade earlier in the evening which police described as “unacceptable”.

Another night. And another day:

A baseball bat was used in a violent brawl between more than a dozen youths in Collingwood this afternoon.

Police were called to a Hoddle St park about 3.30pm after reports of a brawl between youths of African appearance.

Police said a baseball bat was used during the fight, which was broken up by police using capsicum spray.

Listeners told radio station 3AW they saw two groups of about 15 youths fighting in the park.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.

I’m not sure, but I’m guessing that Melbournians have had enough of living in Africa.
