Cabinet solidarity stops him from saying so publicly, but owlish-looking New South Wales Treasurer, Dominic Perrottet, has set his stall to succeed Gladys Berejiklian.
Perrottet’s call to end the NSW lockdown this Saturday as originally planned ran counter to the Premier and his other cabinet colleagues. His concern about the wider social and economic damage of the lockdown is an open break from Berejiklian who may be reluctant to continue, but continuing she is.
