Now there’s a coincidence.

An article by Michael Pascoe on Fairfax websites today declares:

On April 6, 1917, the United States officially entered World War 1. Just six weeks short of 100 years later, Donald Trump is being sworn in as President of the United States. And thus ends the “American Century”.


And look what the soft-left Prospect magazine featured on the front cover of its first edition for the year — which has landed in the letterboxes of its Australian subscribers in the past few days:

“The American Century 1917-2017,” it says.

As Dame Edna might say, “Spooky”.
