I hope Farrer pick One Nation candidate David Farley

Since the South Australian state election last month, myself and the other six new One Nation Parliamentarians have been busy organising ourselves for our first few weeks in Parliament.

We have a big responsibility to hold the failing Labor government to account and we will not shirk from our responsibilities, for if the last four years have taught us anything, it’s that the SA Liberals can’t be relied upon to provide effective opposition.

I have been following the ongoing Federal by-election in Farrer closely though. It’s an electorate that borders SA and that we have quite a few connections with.

The nature of Farrer is quite similar to some of the electorates we were able to win at the recent state election so it will be very interesting to see what happens next month.

I’ve been impressed with David Farley the One Nation candidate. He seems like a very straight up common sense bloke. He’s clearly strongly connected to the electorate and his extensive background in agribusiness couldn’t be a better fit for Farrer.

What I notice is the Independent, a candidate who shares some backers and a former campaign manager with the Teals. It seems like the by-election will be a two-horse race between David and this so-called Independent, Michelle Milthorpe.

Farrer is a deeply agricultural electorate filled with voters possessing traditional Aussie values and a strong dose of common sense. I can’t imagine most of them have much time for the folly of Net Zero, rampant mass migration, and an approach to water management that puts eco zealotry first and farmers last.

The voters of Farrer face a choice at this by-election.

They can go for the One Nation candidate David Farley, who believes that water is a sovereign asset and not an environmental asset and will put farming communities front and centre, along with other One Nation colleagues campaigning to scrap Net Zero and push an approach to immigration that works for Aussies.

The alternative is this so-called Independent. It is my opinion that she masquerades on political issues like butter wouldn’t melt in her mouth. While presenting as an authentic community candidate, there are globalist climate funds and left-wing campaign groups nearby that stand for precisely the values that your average Farrer voter stands against.

Michelle Milthorpe claims to represent ‘change’. The reality is that if she was elected, she would represent a continuation of the status quo. She’s a front for the same ideologies and views that have led to so many communities in Farrer being left behind. Michelle Milthorpe may call herself an ‘Independent’ but she couldn’t ooze uniparty vibes any more if she tried.

Climate 200 and GetUp! are pouring resources into Farrer. We’re seeing waves of lefty activists making the trip to Farrer to stop One Nation from winning. Why are they all so desperate for Michelle Milthorpe to win? I believe it is because she represents a continuation of their worldview. They’re terrified that One Nation may win and start representing the views of the silent majority. The reality is that the kinds of views and policies pushed by Michelle Milthorpe and her cronies have hurt Farrer and worked against the interest of communities there, like they have done in regional South Australia.

Yesterday someone shared with me an attack video pushed by a political group, going after One Nation, essentially blaming us for the fuel crisis. The truth is Australia has been so uniquely exposed and vulnerable because of the failed ideologies peddled by Michelle Milthrope’s backers and their opposition to building up our reserves and national resilience.

I really do hope for the people of Farrer’s sake that they elect David Farley next month. He’s put cost of living front and centre in his campaign and he’s right to do so. He’s right about cost of living, he’s right about Net Zero and he’s right about water. Fingers crossed for next month and another electoral earthquake after the one we delivered in South Australia last month!
