Analysts in a new study say they can conclude that 28.2 per cent of respondents who voted by mail in the 2020 US presidential elections committed at least one type of behaviour that is ‘under most circumstances, illegal’ and so potentially amounts to voter fraud.

Voter fraud was the subject of my January 18 post in The Speccie (Dare not speak its name).

Amongst other things, I reported that according to recent polling around the consequential caucuses in Iowa, some 80 per cent of Iowa Republicans believe Joe Biden’s presidency is illegitimate due to voter fraud.

Since then, the results are in from a recent study by Rasmussen & The Heartland Institute examining the likely impact that fraudulent mail-in ballots had in the 2020 election. This study concluded that the outcome would ‘almost certainly’ have been different without the massive expansion of voting by mail.

By 2016, according to the US Election Assistance Commission, 23.7 per cent of ballots – approximately 33 million – were submitted by mail. In 2020, that number nearly doubled, with Americans casting approximately 65.5 million ballots by mail, by far the highest figure recorded in US history.

As reported by the Associated Press, Joe Biden noted during an online campaign fundraiser in April 2020, ‘We have to make it easier for everybody to be able to vote … and it’s going to require us to provide money for states and insist they provide mail-in ballots.’ Biden also condemned President Donald Trump’s efforts to raise concerns about potential mail-in ballot fraud, calling them ‘un-American’. In August 2020, Biden posted on Twitter, ‘Voting by mail is safe and secure.’

Titled, Who Really Won the 2020 Election? the report reckons that, ‘Even if only a fraction of self-admitted fraud occurred, Trump likely beats Biden in multiple swing states, wins 2020 Electoral College vote.’ It seems Biden is not only unfit to be charged and tried as per the Special Counsel Robert Hur [no relation to Ben] report into Biden’s confidential document hoarding, he is not a valid president.

‘It was obvious to anyone with eyes and common sense that the 2020 election was not “the most secure in American history”,’ remarks Jim Lakely, Vice President and Director of Communications at The Heartland Institute.

‘How could it be with historic national use of mail-in ballots, often handled with little security and lax standards for authentication?’

This is not news to a great many people; is that why the Left’s house journals (aka most mainstream media) ignore this study? Or is it reluctance (refusal?) to publish information that contradicts their own narrative?

The poll was a survey of 1,085 national likely voters, November 30 – December 6, 2023, conducted by Rasmussen Reports and the Heartland Institute.

Some of the key findings:

• 21 per cent of mail-in voters admitted that in 2020 they voted in a state where they are ‘no longer a permanent resident’.
• 21 per cent of mail-in voters admitted that they filled out a ballot for a friend or family member.
• 17 per cent of mail-in voters said they signed a ballot for a friend or family member ‘with or without his or her permission’.
• 19 per cent of mail-in voters said that a friend or family member filled out their ballot, in part or in full, on their behalf.

Says the report: ‘Ultimately, our study clearly shows that if the 2020 election had been as free, fair, and secure as past elections have been, Donald Trump would almost certainly have been re-elected to a second term … if even a small portion of this fraud had been prevented.’

This would be hard to swallow for all those, from Democrats to journalists to commentators to everyday Trump haters, who deride Trump for claiming the election was rigged against him. Who also scoffed at his claims that he didn’t collude with Russia…

In his media statement attached to the report, Research Editor/Research Fellow, Jack McPherrin says: ‘Though a handful of states have enacted some policies to mitigate mail-in voting fraud in the upcoming 2024 elections, much more needs to be done in order to ensure Americans regain confidence in US electoral institutions and believe the results of future elections. If we can’t trust our own elections, our democratic republic will be on thinner ice than it already is.’
