Even before 2020, I didn’t have that many friends. It’s something I regret, not having made more effort to stay in touch with schoolmates, teammates, workmates, and ordinary mates. The last 3 years have seen the list dwindle further, with differences of opinion on freedom playing a part. That, as well as a reticence to mention among the remaining pals anything approaching question of ethics or morality regarding the years 2020 – 2023.
