You read that right. We salute The Age. Bravo! Three cheers for The Age!
We could not have bettered their commentary on yesterday’s rally in Melbourne. They hit the nail right on the head about the participants while skewering Comical Ali, sorry, Comical Sally, ACTU boss Sally McManus, for her risible claims — all in the one single paragraph:
Despite the union movement’s determination to distance itself from the protesters, the majority marching on Tuesday appeared to be the people industrial unions used to represent; young, working-class men who, in at least some cases, have suddenly found themselves tossed out of work.
Take a gold star. Ten out of 10 or, as Dr Gerard Henderson (for a doctor he is) might say, four paws.
