While for the past 12 months much of the West have been objecting to the so-called ‘genocide’ occurring in Gaza, something more sinister has been happening in Nigeria.
Since 2009, tens of thousands of Christians have been killed by Islamic terrorists.
Enter onto the scene President Donald Trump. Over the past couple of days, Trump has issued two dramatic statements posted on Truth Social:

This is a bold and courageous move politically. As a businessman, Trump is showing world leaders how to get things done. Either comply immediately or foreign aid stops and the United States will do what the government of Nigeria should.
Trump had previously made a post on Truth Social acknowledging the ‘existential threat’ facing Christians in Nigeria:

What has been happening in Nigeria over the past 16 years should have evoked worldwide concern, condemnation, and action. Even Bill Maher has called out people’s ignorance of the situation saying:
If you don’t know what’s going on in Nigeria, your media sources suck. You are in a bubble.
I’m not a Christian but they are systematically killing the Christians in Nigeria. They’ve killed over a 100,000 since 2009. They’ve burned 18,000 churches…this is Islamists, Boko Haram.
This is so much more of a genocide attempt than what is going on in Gaza. They are literally attempting to wipe out the Christian population of an entire country.
Where are the kids protesting this?
Maher’s observation here is spot on. People are highly selective in their outrage. The same people who have been marching in support of Palestine have been almost completely silent when it comes to the humanitarian crisis which is happening in Nigeria.
