When we consider which eminent citizen amongst us we might place our trust in if Australia were ever to become a republic, I can think of no better candidate for the office of President than Senator Lidia Alma Thorpe.
Thorpe is the model Australian. She is articulate, mature, humble, and her arguments are reinforced by an indomitable intelligence and enlightened moral compass.
