A few days ago we had the story of a freeborn Englishman being sentenced for saying something that a muslim found offensive. This was barely covered in the media but for me it was scarier news than any of the recent terrorist attacks. We don’t have a first amendment in this country. Freedom of speech is not enshrined so explicitly as it is there, it’s one of those rights that if you don’t exercise it, it will go away. Use it or lose it, or as they say in New Hampshire, “Live Free Or Die”. I intend to do just that.
