UNRWA, which describes itself as a United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East, has been operating under suspicion for a very long time.
Previous concerns regarding connections to Hamas, via staff and ideological endorsement, have caused nations to cut back on funding, including the UK, Gulf States, and the US under President Trump.
