Don’t attack Pauline, Senator Matt Canavan

Be sensible – just do a preference deal

It is no disadvantage at all for Matt Canavan being in the Senate, as The Australian claims.

Except for determining who governs, the House is presently an irrelevant, ignored, and boring rubber stamp.

The Senate is where the action is. Nor should you take the advice about trying to appeal to small ‘l’ Liberal voters.

Instead, you must continue to sprout the commonsense line that you’ve been pushing so constantly, especially over that climate nonsense.

That will, of course, irritate the small ‘l’ Liberals and the Teals.

You know they’ll never vote for you…

But it’ll delight the rank-and-file.

Your big mistake so far has been to attack One Nation gratuitously on government policy, for example, in not building dams.

As you full well know, as much as they genuinely want to build dams, unlike most parties, how could they have done that?

They’ve never formed a government. At least, not yet. Instead, you should be seeking what is crucial – a preferential deal.

The reasons why supporters of the Coalition and Labor are moving to One Nation is first, supporters have been too long taken for granted.

They’re fed up.

Second, it’s because rather than being just a party of complaint, as the commentariat claims, One Nation actually has a full package of commonsense policies which appeal very much to the rank and file. So do a preference deal with Pauline.

Now.

All this deal has to be is the Nationals and One Nation preferencing each other before Labor and the Greens. So simple. And it will improve your chances of success, especially if the Liberals do the same. So, persuade them to follow you. Your voters will approve.
