A few days ago, I caught the ferry into town in Sydney. It was a beautiful day, the water sparkling on the harbour, the sun shining, the tourists taking photos of the Opera House, and a bunch of Aussie schoolkids were having the time of their lives on some school excursion.

It reminded me, vividly, of my own school excursion as a kid from Forrest Primary School in Canberra up to Luna Park.

But then my blood ran cold as I listened to these kids bantering about doing this or that unpleasantness to ‘Pauline’. This wasn’t some harmless school excursion. This was pure evil.

This was the Australian equivalent of a day out during Mao’s cultural revolution.

These innocent Aussie schoolkids are disgustingly and disgracefully being brainwashed into the sinister, dangerous, and deadly ideology of the modern left.

The pale blue and greys of the typical Aussie schoolkids’ uniform were yesterday, to all intents and purposes, nothing more than a political uniform every bit as threatening, as malign, and as dangerous as the one worn in this scene from the movie Cabaret.

Taking the innocence and optimism of youth – that yearning desire to make the world a wonderful place – and twisting it into hatred and corrupting it with lies and propaganda for specific party-political ends, which is what occurred throughout Australia, is an absolute perversion of Australian democracy and should have been labelled as such by every political leader.

This is the opposite of democracy. This is fascism and communism to the core.

We’ve had the debate over the past few weeks about a monoculture versus a multicultural Australia. There’s been an awful lot of nonsense spouted, especially from some conservatives, such as James Paterson and even John Howard, who have suggested that Pauline Hanson wants to impose some ugly top-down government-mandated monoculture, whereby the cultural settings are set by the government bureaucrats, then relayed through a compliant media to the masses and heaven forbid anyone raise a dissenting voice.

But then it hit me, watching those schoolkids on the ferry. That’s exactly what we already have.

We live in an Australian left-wing monoculture. Australia, in 2026, more than ever before in our history, is a monoculture.

A very ugly monoculture at that.

All our cultural settings are mandated by the government, this left-wing monoculture, which flows through most of the mainstream media, and corporate Australia laps it up and spews it out and then that bastion of culture the ABC pumps that monoculture like raw sewerage every day straight into our schools and even into our kindergartens.

It is the ugly Australian monoculture of the left. And when I say ugly, I mean it.

UGLY is the perfect acronym for the modern Australian monoculture.

U.G.L.Y.

‘U’ is for unions. ‘G’ is for Greens. ‘L’ is for Labor. And the ‘Y’ stands for what Sir Les Patterson called the Yartz. The cultural elites. The art galleries, the exhibitions, the Biennales, the literary festivals. The Yartz. And sitting above them all, the ABC. Together they run our monocultural beliefs and practices.

Let me give you a few examples of this U.G.L.Y monoculture that is mandated by the government and preached, without question or dissent, throughout mainstream Australian media and cultural circles. Many of these monocultural tenets come with their own monocultural slogan, often repeated with quasi-religious fervour.

Tenet number one: Aboriginal Australians, or even a tiny hint of Aboriginal heritage, gives you a unique and very special and powerful position in the monocultural hierarchy. Always was, always will be.

Tenet number two: A sexual idiosyncrasy outside traditional heterosexuality places you on a higher moral plateau than other Australians in the monoculture. Love is love.

‘Men and women. And other people.’ And that clown is in the Liberal Party.

Tenet number three. To the monoculture, the history of Australia is one of endless shameful oppression of minorities and greedy exploitation of resources.

Tenet number four: The monoculture firmly believes, despite all evidence to the contrary, that the planet is boiling and it is the Australian monoculture’s sole purpose and responsibility to de-industrialise ourselves in order to save mankind. This is the highest and purest of moral pursuits. ‘There is no Planet B.’ ‘Climate change is the greatest moral challenge of our lifetimes.’

Tenet number five: In the eyes of the UGLY left-wing monoculture, Palestinians are noble freedom fighters and Jews, or Israelis, or Zios, or whatever else you want to call them, are the baddies. Without exception. ‘From the river to the sea!’ ‘Globalise the intifada!’

Tenet number six: If you don’t subscribe to the new Australian monoculture, you will be ostracised, sneered at, mocked, ridiculed, spat at, vilified, and hated to the point where it’s okay within the culture to publicly fantasise about sodomising and murdering you with a stick.

This is the modern Australian monoculture. Hardcore leftwing. Anti-colonial heritage. Anti-tradition. Anti-Christian. Anti-Jewish. Anti-white. Anti-straight. Anti-enterprise. Anti-aspiration.

A nihilistic monoculture that takes pride in any and every flag other than its own that has gripped Australia and is held in a vice-like grip by the left: the unions, the Greens, Labor, and the arts. Which is why not a single person at the ABC, or any of our institutions, ever dare question any single aspect of … our ugly left-wing monoculture.

When people disparage the idea of a monoculture, they are normally referring to the Australian stereotype of the 70s, like this:
