Reagan’s fear fulfilled

We are extinguishing our own freedom

Few predicted Ronald Reagan’s remarkable victory in overthrowing the ‘evil empire’, the Soviet Union, and achieving this without firing a single shot.

Sadly, this has been undermined from within. Fearing this, Reagan warned that freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. Its enemy is a fifth column of elites, whose doctrinal tentacles stretch throughout the West, infiltrating institution after institution.

With the young not so much educated as indoctrinated, it is hardly surprising that many are captured by some or other dogma. Most would probably not realise they are being used as Lenin’s ‘useful idiots’ to advance an anti-Western agenda.

We see this phenomenon even within the conservative parties who should be defending the Reagan inheritance. To communists, RINOs and LINOs resemble the clergy and others who used to support a succession of Stalinist ‘peace’ conferences.

Communism, notwithstanding the rigid obedience imposed within the party under the guise of ‘democratic centralism’, pretends, when operating in the West, that it is a broad church.

But once in power, as in China, it imposes  the ‘iron discipline’ of dictatorship Lenin prescribed. It is forever intolerant of not only minor dissent but even declared ethical principles, as the Falun Gong discovered.

Left-wing communism, dismissed by Lenin as an ‘infantile disorder’, is a powerful and cost-free weapon operating under the freedom only the West allows.

There, radical dogmas, totally unacceptable in a communist paradise, are encouraged for the simple reason that they serve to destroy the West.

First and foremost is the discredited theory of man-made climate change, with the corollary of net zero which will never change the temperature, but which will enrich Beijing while simultaneously destroying Western economies, especially Australia’s, thanks to our political class and other elites.

We must never forget that almost alone, Donald Trump dissented, hence the determination to sabotage his re-election.

The various radical dogmas are not isolated and separate. Whatever their origin, they have all been made part of the armoury to destroy us. If Putin and Xi had a sense of humour, they would be laughing.

The West has foolishly forgotten much of George Orwell’s wisdom. A key one is language. If thought corrupts language, he rightly warned, language can also corrupt thought.

We far too easily accept today’s Newspeak, a key communist weapon. Just think of how we have let ‘gender’ replace ‘sex,’ or  ‘climate change’ replace the embarrassingly untrue ‘global warming’.

Closer to home, ‘Aboriginal’ became ‘indigenous’ and is now ‘First Nation’, when in fact the very first nation in this continent is our Federal Commonwealth and the first and only sovereignty exercised here was British, and now Australian.

That Aborigines were here before the British is not in issue. And notwithstanding taxpayer-funded government ‘information’ about the coming Voice referendum, the Aboriginal people were always recognised in the constitution as much as everyone else. Nor did the founders ignore them, as the convention debates and the 1902 parliamentary debate on the franchise testify.

Experts in these matters, Keith Windschuttle and Michael Connor, who exposed the misuse of terra nullius, have spoken at length on them in interviews on ADH TV. As has Epoch Times correspondent Daniel Teng, who has reported on immigrants who escaped from communism and found that the discourse around the Voice has ‘eerie similarities’ to that when communism was imposed on their nation.

Apart from the obscenity of imposing racial segregation, it is little appreciated that the Voice will ensure no true reform government can ever operate again in Australia. But it will not oppose, for example, the latest strangling of farmers’ rights in Western Australia.

The point is that when we meekly go along with name changes, we accept the dogma that goes with them.

‘Gender’, for example, is a denial of basic science and confirms being a woman is a matter of individual choice, even when used to destroy women’s sport. The East German comrades from the old DDR would be rejoicing.

Similarly, when they portray LINOs as ‘moderates’, the mainstream media imply conservatives are extremists of the ‘far right’.

Is it politeness or fear of being labelled paranoid that stops us from calling a spade a spade? What is undermining the West is communism, either Beijing’s current orthodoxy or the Western ‘infantile disorder’. Even that outspoken commentator and excellent author, Mark Levin has called his latest exposé, American Marxism, rather than the forthright title, American Communism.

Let’s call a spade a spade. Communism is the enemy of the West. Dogmas used to destroy the West from within must be exposed, as Levin does.

As for those who say Communism today is different, the fact is it remains inherently evil, practising, for example, the horrendous crime of organ harvesting .

Changes were made only to survive two massive failures. The first was central planning which necessitated a brutal dictatorship resulting in one of the darkest periods in history, around 100 million dead and hundreds of millions more enslaved. Central planning was a failure, replaced by the Nazi-fascist  economic model.

The second failure was the doctrine that  the class struggle was necessary to gain and hold power. In fact, no communist government came to power through this. The Bolsheviks did so through a coup, the CCP by letting the Nationalists fight the Japanese until they were too exhausted, the East Europeans under Red Army occupation. In addition, the communists maintain power only through military-scale brutality.

Now, rather than class, the communists search for victims whose dogmatic solution will aid in destroying the West. The latest is militant transgenderism.

So while they are up to their necks sabotaging our electricity system, our elites are now seriously contemplating the destruction of women’s sport and security while promoting such confusion among children that some will be subject to medicinal and surgical abuse without parental consent.

Orwell and Reagan must wonder why they bothered.
