Boris, Brexit and the Northern Ireland Protocol – all are dominating the news agenda yet again. So it only seems right then that Matt Hancock takes his rightful place once more at the heart of public life. The Sunday People yesterday splashed the news that the former Health Secretary has set up his own TV company Greenhazel to launch a lucrative broadcasting career when he quits politics. Clearly he enjoyed eating all those jungle genitals…

Allies suggest Hancock is planning a series of ‘serious documentaries’ on assisted dying and dyslexia when he stands down as an MP at the next election. The Telegraph reported that he wants to ‘put his public platform to good use and educate the public about political issues.’ But Mr S hears that might be coming sooner than expected, with TalkTV understood to have been involved in discussions with Hancock about having his own show. It follows the recent hiring of Nadine Dorries while GB News has signed up Jacob Rees-Mogg. TalkTV and Hancock’s spokesman both declined to comment.

Either way, it looks as though we will be seeing a lot more of Hancock on our screens. Who says telly is dead eh?
