Prime Minister Scott Morrison cannot make a clear and succinct statement. He is a word-waffler — and this is a problem.
This may be because there is no realistic strategy behind the communications or the government because its original strategy — saving lives as opposed to managing a pandemic — was flawed and, well, has been proven to be stuffed.
When we need philosophers to understand the cycle of life and death, instead we get medicos, economists and, above all, politicians who refuse to accept that people die.
We can never shake Covid until we accept people die.
