Traffic is lighter in DC because the fed gov’t encourages their employees to work a flex schedule–either longer 4-day weeks in exchange for an extra day off every other week, or working from home frequently. Most opt for both their flex days and their work from home days to be monday and/or friday, to extend their work day..
