At lunch the other day a couple sitting nearby ate in almost total silence because one was playing with his phone. What on earth was the point of going out together? Increasingly people seem more interested in phones than people and photographing events (even tragic ones) than participating or helping. Technology is not just making some stupid but unpleasant too.
