This moment in Victoria’s history could not be more critical.

With about 70 days until the most pivotal state election ever, no amount of ‘NFL hoopla’ can mask the underlying truth that Victoria is headed for the rubbish heap of history unless the cancer that is the Labor government is excised.

Woke, broke, ridiculed – no other words better describe the State of Victoria as it limps toward the November election.

That the State is on life-support lies at the feet of not one, but three decrepit, dishonest, ruthless, and highly partisan Labor administrations. Voters – that’s ‘all’ voters of whatever political persuasion – have a crucially important decision to make on Saturday, November 28, this year.

Labor’s 12 years of social engineering, sectoral indulgence, CFMEU supporting, ‘budget-busting’ policies have eaten away at the fiscal underbelly of the state. Now we have a skeletal economy, bloated public service, and a heart-stopping debt mountain. So much money has been squandered on idiotic ‘flights of fancy’ by socialist ideologues – that basic services in crime, health, mental health, education, and roads are in varying stages of decay.

Thanks to the collective efforts of the hard left politics of Daniel Andrews’, Jacinta Allan, and now someone (slightly less ‘hard left’) called Ben Carroll, Victorian voters are left to make a decision that will determine the fate of their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. It’s that serious.

Over the coming weeks, the Labor machine will throw all the money and resources it can lay its hands on (from unions, party members, and businesses that have been consuming Labor’s Kool-aid) in the form of propaganda, attack ads, misinformation and disinformation to fool voters into thinking Labor cares about them. Every platform will be adopted to sway public sentiment in the direction of Labor.

Labor’s scare campaign is already well underway with unsubstantiated claims of job losses, loss of frontline services (what’s left of them), and other dire consequences should the Coalition secure sufficient seats to form government.

Do not for a moment be fooled by risible efforts by Carroll and his laughable Treasurer to distance themselves from their predecessors. Oh, the new leader detests them that’s true, but his colours are the same. Let us also remember that Carroll was in Cabinet for all the appalling decisions taken by Andrews and Allan. His protests that he is different are just plain absurd. We know it, he knows it, and we know he knows it.

Let us be clear – Labor cares about one thing only. Survival.

So much rests on the outcome that nothing will be left off the table to demonise the Opposition, its leader Jess Wilson, and anyone else that still believes in honesty, integrity, and decency in public office. Voters can anticipate the dirtiest of dirty tactics from Spring Street.

So debased have the state’s institutions become that a change of government is unthinkable to those who have fed off the Labor teat for so long. Fat-cat departmental secretaries drawing obscene salaries will be anxiously eyeing off possible ‘next roles’ in the event that Labor is booted from office. Thousands of less senior ‘servants of the public’ will be trying to get their heads around what life might actually look like without their friends in Spring Street to protect them.

If you are not yet convinced that Labor must be booted from office – take a moment to consider the comments last week of a Victorian Magistrate who described Victoria as the ‘lawless capital of Australia’. The latest crime stats in the state set out the appalling consequences of the ‘soft on crime’ policies of Labor over more than a decade.

Victoria recorded over 640,000 criminal offences in a 12-month period, marking an increase of about 10.8 per cent year-on-year.

More than 235,000 people were recorded as victims of crime according to Magistrate Court figures, while car thefts surpassed 33,000 incidents – the highest level in over 20 years. Retail crime, shoplifting, and commercial break-ins have also surged. The staggering incidence of ‘youth crime’ in the state – some of it terrifyingly violent – fills news bulletins on the hour.

All this because of Labor’s outrageous policy of getting criminals back on the streets without the ‘inconvenience’ of detention.

If it’s more of the above you’re after – vote Labor in November. In the event of a Labor victory, I will be observing the further obliteration of the once great state of Victoria and of so-called ‘Marvellous Melbourne’ from interstate.

Many have already made the decision to exit the nation’s highest taxing, least productive corner of mainland Australia.

Hardly surprising.
