From the National Press Club: As I navigated the pothole-ridden roads into Canberra, rattling over newly installed rumble strips local councils seem to think pass for infrastructure, I found myself mulling over Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s impending address at the National Press Club. The state of the roads seem a fitting metaphor for the state of our democracy.
