Jus Soli vs Jus sanguinis.

Just because you are born in a country doesn;t make you that nationality.
eg French husband, japanese wife, child born in Spain – is that Child;s nationality spanish? No. The child is half their father(French), half their mother(Japanese) at a starting elvel -one then has to delve deeper to establish each parents ancestral roots.

USA I believe still operates on basis of Jus Soli. UK used to until recently but stopped for obvious reasons. Too many, particularly those from African nations such as nigeria, were taking advantage dishonestly.

Use common sense.

There’s no way an offspring, born in China, to an Argentinian mother/Canadian father, is , in anyway Chinese.said child is clearly half Argie/half Canadian(at the base level clearly)
