On the sudden and very sad passing of Rod Liddle, who died aged 66 following a short illness:
Rod Liddle will always stand as one of the very finest writers in The Spectator’s nearly two-hundred-year history.
His wit, his insights, his turn of phrase, and his wry observations on the absurdities of life inspired an entire generation of writers, myself included.
Our readers will mourn and miss him greatly.
Vale, Rod.
