To the Prime Minister.
Dear Sir,
I write this letter as an older, but still patriotic, Australian who passionately loves our country and its people. My family have, for four generations, been actively involved in the development of irrigated agriculture in the Riverina.
I write from a position of annoyance and sadness.
Annoyance at your increasingly inability to lead in a way worthy of following and sadness at the fact that you seem unaware, or do not care, about the direction of our previously dynamic and proud nation.
Prime Minister, Australia was a nation proudly built on the egalitarian principle of mateship. From the convicts to the jailers. From the Governor to the servants, they all worked as one to build what quickly became a prosperous nation. A place to which people flocked for a chance of success for themselves and their kin.
From this position, we fought in two world wars and assisted our allies in other smaller battles. We were respected. We were looked up to as dependable allies and reliable suppliers of food. We adapted to mitigate both drought and flood and this stamped our mettle strong. With sweat and blood, we built our land and forged our history. We had much to be proud of and always knew that our neighbour was our friend and helping hand in time of need.
We were united and never considered ourselves multicultural.
We were Aussies and damn proud of the fact. We were mates who respected one another and that word developed a uniqueness to the Australian way of life. We went about our life independently and without government help. We became very good at what we did, and we all felt pride in just being an Aussie.
What went wrong, Prime Minister?
Why have you presided over the biggest fall in our standard of living since the second world war?
Why have you been largely responsible for growing the Public Service out of all manageable proportion?
Why have you fostered a growth in our migrant intake from 265,000 to around 500,000?
Why did you support the inflow of migrants, a portion of whom support a radical version of Islam and did not know, or did not care that these people would not integrate, but would seek to subjugate?
The events of last Sunday at Bondi proves that you have failed the most basic responsibility of any Government and that is to keep our people safe.
Why do you perpetrate the lie that we have near full employment when we have 570,000 long-term unemployed? That is over half a million people who have not worked for over twelve months? Talk of near full employment is not just false; it is a lie.
Why has red tape grown by 88 per cent on your watch, according to the ABS?
Why has antisemitism proliferated recently, or is it directly the result of Labor’s oft-repeated denunciation of Israel?
Why do you still support Arab causes at the expense of our loyal ally Israel in the Middle East?
Why has taxation under your government risen to among the highest in the Western world?
Prime Minister, why do you stand idly by while Minister Balderdash Bowen destroys our source of power and drives thousands of businesses out of business?
Why do you support the lie that Australia can change the world’s temperature by reducing emissions?
Why do you support the export of our quality coal so others can produce cheap, reliable power but deny our use of the same coal?
Why do you support the Minister for halting development, Tanya Plibersek, who stops most development and then refuses to give us a reason?
Prime Minister why, God tell me why you still support bringing people who do not integrate into our previously harmonious society?
Why are you so compelled to force Australia into a totalitarian regime where the people, my people, lose all power? Does this make the government feel important?
Prime Minister, you may feel secure in your large majority in the House of Representatives, but when you lose the support of the people as you now have it is time to remember the words of Leo Amery: ‘Depart I say. In the name of God just go.’
Prime Minister it is time to go and take your would be if they could be Ministers with you.
Australia can no longer afford your mismanagement.
Just Go.
