The COP hypocrisy will cost us a fortune

One billion dollars. That’s how much the Albanese Labor government expects to be paying for hosting a United Nations climate talkfest in Australia.

The Conference of Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP) involves millionaires, billionaires, and politicians bouncing around the world in fuel-guzzling private jets.

Now the government wants Australians to pick up the tab for this party when it is our turn to host in 2026 (if our bid is successful against Turkey). Even the ABC warned it could be as high as $1.5 billion.

What would all these people be talking about if they came to Australia?

At last year’s COP the first order of business for attendees was to ‘fuel up’ the Gulfstream.

644 luxurious fuel-guzzling private jets descended on Dubai.

For drivers, though, COP has resulted in a brand-new highway cutting through tens of thousands of acres of untouched Amazon rainforest in Brazil.

Hypocrites are standing on a pile of woodchips signing agreements to save the rainforest. It is astonishing.

The second order of business?

Tell everyone else in the world to reduce their carbon footprint.

Next order of business for attendees?

Tell people, including Australians, to stop eating their abundant supply of organically raised, chemical-free meat.

Only we lowly peasants will be discouraged from eating healthy protein and forced to eat bugs or lab-grown horrors. Of course, the climate activist billionaires will still be able to afford a good steak.

Final order of business for the climate lecturers?

Telling those Australians who love the bush and take their 4WDs out into the wild to get closer to nature … that those vehicles are soon to be banned.

Australians are being faced with a choice: pay a billion dollars for a lecture from out of touch climate billionaires, or to reject all this nonsense and save trillions of dollars globally.

Hypocrites are not environmentalists, they are parasites feeding off the genuine concern of Australians.

One Nation stands for Australia, with Australians.

We believe in cheap power. Paddock-grown meat on the BBQ. And an affordable 4WD in the garage, if that is what you want.

We believe in putting Australia first.
