The left-of-centre (make that left-of-the-Canadian-centre, which is mightily left-wing) Liberal Party has won Monday’s federal election in Canada. Mark Carney, who was substituted in to replace Justin Trudeau, brought the Liberals back from 20 points down in the polls. As of writing, Carney and the Liberals look likely to win 168 or 169 seats.
