The attacks keep coming for One Nation from both sides of politics and the media. Yet amid last week’s claims that One Nation had peaked, Auspoll’s recent results beg to differ.

One Nation is polling at 30 per cent in the primaries. Based on these results, Auspoll predicts if an election were held today, One Nation would win 36 seats, the Coalition 19, and Labor still a whopping 82 seats.

Of course, Australia’s preferential voting system often means that seats are won by those who did not obtain a majority of primary votes, but that story is for another day. Today, One Nation’s resilience points to one thing. People do not trust ‘The Establishment’.

I am reluctant to use the terms The Establishment and the Uniparty interchangeably, because it is much more than just the major parties. Our political institutions, universities, and the ABC are key parts of the Establishment. Trump might call it the Deep State, but we do not have the same levels of donor influence here, so I’ll stick with the term ‘The Establishment’ for now.

The Establishment presents itself as the calm, serious voice of reason in politics and society.

You hear it most clearly when the Prime Minister says Pauline Hanson should not ‘talk Australia down’ when overseas.

Life at Copacabana must be quite pleasant. Here in regional Australia, businesses are collapsing, people are struggling, and nobody is saying, ‘How great is Albo’s Australia!’

Yet the media’s focus is all on One Nation. It reminds me of most of the stuff coming out of universities these days.

Not asking questions like:

‘Why are Australians so upset about our immigration policy?’

‘Why do Australians feel like every sporting event is a political opportunity for Wokeness?’

‘Why is the Medicare card getting waved around when I still have to pay for every visit to my GP?’

‘Why aren’t we using our own coal, oil, gas, and uranium reserves?’

‘How is it that someone can just enter my property and install a powerline while I have no say in the matter?’

How about, ‘Where’s my $275 saving in my power bill?’

I could go on forever, but you get my drift.

The simple fact is that The Establishment is hypocritical, untrustworthy, and not representing the will of the people. And people have had enough.

Albanese is now in Gillard territory with voter dissatisfaction. But the big question is, why is Labor still up in the polls? In my opinion it is that age-old problem of splintering the conservative vote. It would be roughly 49 per cent conservative versus 42 per cent green-left if we put aside the in-fighting.

Yet every day a new bipartisan attack on One Nation emerges. Today it is nonsense that ‘Pauline Hanson supports the White Australia Policy’. This is according to her speech at CPAC London to an apparently empty room.

I love how Labor is leading the charge here. Talk about newspeak and revising history. The Labor Party was the original supporter of the White Australia Policy. If you let in all those migrants, they won’t join unions, they will work for lower wages, and the Australian working man will be worse off.

Now that working Australians are in the main not interested in joining unions, Labor has changed the game, but all in the name of staying in power.

Never mind that Hanson has said she doesn’t support the White Australia Policy.

Malcolm Roberts has also been accused of saying many things he didn’t say by both sides of the media.

I can hear them screaming, ‘Stop confusing us with your facts!’

But I can also hear Australians starting to voice their concerns. To take back their country from those whose only agenda is self-interest. To speak up against The Establishment.

Their calm, reassuring voice has been exposed for what it is, a means of feathering its own nest.

There are still many dimensions where One Nation needs to mature in its preparation for government, but I think most people have had enough of the present state of things.

As it stands, the political class is beating its chest in a pathetic attempt to keep the common folk in line. What they don’t realise is that every AI meme they create to make One Nation look silly, they amplify One Nation’s distress call.

For all its faults, One Nation is acting as the people’s champion. Regardless of any future electoral outcome, The Establishment’s weaknesses and hypocrisies have been exposed. And things can never be the same again.
