Last week, depraved pro-Palestinian protesters vandalised another piece of Australian history. Not content to stop at war memories, Captain Cook statues, and former Prime Minister busts, they went after the World Heritage-listed Hochgurtel Fountain, which sits in the Carlton Gardens. It was damaged with vile messages and had its water dyed red.
We will pay for its restoration, of course. Why not deduct the bill from the $10 million Labor sent to Gaza? That might slow vandals down.
One has to wonder what politicians think when they see their constituents demonstrate loyalty to foreign causes with such disregard for Australia.
Will they get re-elected if they act in the best interests of our nation instead of an Islamic terror-led regime on the other side of the world?
Does putting Australia first mean voters will put them last?
This is the reality of cultural enclaves created by Labor and their Big Australia At Any Cost mantra. This is the real message politicians see when a hundred thousand people walk over the bridge under the banner of foreign flags.
The cost of re-election is, evidently, our moral standing as a civilisation.
Well, Hamas has successfully used Islamic terrorism as a means to achieve international recognition.
In doing so, Labor has ignored the puppet mastery of Iran which saw the orchestration of violent actions on Australian soil to manipulate public perception about Palestine and Israel.
What was the purpose of Iran’s use of fear? Recognition of Palestine. What has Labor done? Given Iran exactly what it wants.
Whose portrait was at the front of the Sydney Harbour Bridge march? Ali Khamenei.
The next time Iran wants something from the government, they know what to do. This has made Australia more dangerous for all of us.
Senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price understands this reality and has released the following statement on social media:
Australia has a respectable record of achievement in foreign policy. But today marks one of the lowest lows.
The Albanese Government’s decision to recognise a Palestinian state is ill-timed, impulsive, irrational, immoral and ideologically-driven.
It’s an endorsement of Hamas’ use of terrorism to achieve political ends.
It’s civilisational cowardice and capitulation to barbarism. After all, Hamas has said it would repeat October 7 many times over until the Jews of Israel are driven into the sea and the Jewish state is exterminated.
It’s deeply insensitive too, with Hamas still holding hostages.
Until Hamas is defeated, a two-state solution isn’t even conceivable and there can be no peaceful future for the people of Gaza.
If the Albanese Government truly believes in a better life for Palestinians – and a two-state solution – then it should lend its full support to Israel’s military response to rid the world of a death cult.
Here’s the ugly truth:
All too often, the Albanese Government uses foreign policy to grandstand to a domestic political audience.
Just like the Voice referendum, recognition of a Palestinian state is driven by sentimentality and symbolism – not substance and moral standards.
Indeed, the same moral cowardice and moral ambiguity has defined the Government’s supine response to the antisemitism afflicting our nation.
We wouldn’t have the intensity of antisemitism in our country today if the Prime Minister had responded with strength to the sordid scenes on the steps of the Sydney Opera House on 9 October.
Weakness is provocative.
At the UN today, the Albanese Government has not only showed its weakness, it’s also showed that its foreign policy is driven by virtue signalling instead of values.
Prime Minister Albanese and Foreign Minister Wong, you are a disgrace!
