Because the extraction of gold, diamonds, platinum and other precious metals and jewels — and their working — has nothing to do with mining, let alone the generation of carbon emissions. Or so this world-championship effort at corporate virtue signalling that appeared (where else) in The Sydney Morning Herald and Age today would have you believe.

Forget which planet they’re talking about. What one do these people live on?

Certainly not the place their raw materials come from — and their wares are created.
