Flat White

Um, slebs… about those adopted Asian and African kids

The cancel culture chaotic mob mentality continues its journey throughout the Western World yet I cannot help but wonder whit has not yet turned on Academy Award-winning actress Charlize Theron and other Hollywood royalty?

Silly me, of course!

Money always talks.

Without celebrity support to boost the coffers the prominence of any of these left-wing causes would dwindle away.

One important thing that binds Theron, Madonna and Angelina Jolie together is all three women are anti-Trump and with a combined wealth of more than $1 billion the Left is not going to rock the race boat just yet.

The Left is also not that silly to play the race card and bite the hands that feed it, although it seems perfectly able to attack others without reason.

Charlize Theron is a white South African born woman now a mum to her adopted two black daughters.

In this hysterical climate, how would a hypothetical white woman who adopted two black children be treated? Would she be howled with allegations of cultural appropriation and attacks about denying the children access to their cultural heritage?

Theron has followed a well-worn path of celebrities in the past. Madonna, a mum-of six- adopted twin girls Esther and Stella Mwale from Malawi. Mum-of -six Angelina Jolie has adopted Cambodian born Maddox, Vietnam born Pax, Ethiopian born daughter Zahara.

Every other white person seems to be having to apologise for any efforts in helping others, including orphaned and abandoned children.

But these are women who have always enjoyed extreme so-called “white privilege who are raising children from other cultures and heritage away from those children’s true cultures.

Where is the mob outrage? Why aren’t Theron, Madonna and Jolie being cancelled?

Even more, so that Theron herself was born and raised in a country struggling with the spectre of apartheid.

She was named as United Nations Messenger of Peace for the Outreach Project she created in an effort to support African youth in the fight against HIV/AIDS which has raised more than $6 million to support African organisations working on the ground.

Shouldn’t the cancel culture be decrying her project as being paternalistic white privilege in knowing what’s best for African nations?

The “cancel culture” has taken up the sickles and hammers decrying and decimating anything any white person has done.

Any benefit derived by anyone has quickly been derided away regardless of whatever that benefit may have been.

The hypocrisy of the Left playing the race card when it suits should be so obvious but the Left isn’t silly and knows when it needs its poster girls.

Attack Theron, Madonna and Jolie? You must be joking. But attack white historical leaders? Go right ahead.

Theron, adopted her daughters Jackson (8) and August (4) when they were babies.

“I’m a mum to two small black girls and I want them to grow up in a world where they see themselves, where there is an awareness that they can be whomever they want to be because they see it,” said Theron.

“And that’s not just in cinema, that’s in life, too.”

“I want to surround them in a world where they can feel they belong and they can shine and they can live to their full potential.”

That’s undoubtedly what Madonna and Jolie think too.

Every parent wants their child to feel like they can belong, shine and live to their full potential in this world. Any parent who adopts sees their child as a child regardless of their colour or race.

In a recent interview, it was interesting to read that the Hollywood star said she had “really hard honest conversations” about racial injustice with her kids.

However, what hard honest conversations can you really have with a 4 and an 8year old being raised and living in the Hollywood bubble?

Black Lives Matter protests backed and hijacked by Antifa aim to dismantle and disrupt western society in favour of achieving socialist aims.

Anti-western civilisation groups have mobilised to make normal levelheaded people feel guilty about so many different issues.

It shouldn’t matter whether white people adopt black children or black people adopt white children.

People are wanting to make a difference in a child’s life, to help them achieve the very best that they are able to.

Sometimes just admitting a child is better off with someone who isn’t related to them is the best thing to do. Race, colour or religion simply shouldn’t matter. And the rules should apply to all, not just to the Hollywood elite.
