I believed that looking for ancestors is an activity to do with people not places. The human race has kept moving around the world for such a long time that it looks as a washing machine with everything mixed up. Anyway, I believe the author is quite British because almost all his ascendance is from around the corner. I´m not sure if too many UK inhabitants are “more British ” than him.
