Unless the predicted Queensland cyclone skewers his plans, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is expected this weekend to call a federal election for 12 April. A weather event of any sort having an impact on the politics of this country is of course the perfect metaphor for the sorry state we now find ourselves in, where both major political parties have as their official policy the need to appease the global doomsday climate change cult by imposing crippling net zero insanity on every aspect of our lives.
