A friend of mine recently sent me a notice from a big law firm announcing the introduction of ‘Gender Affirmation Leave’. It will, apparently, be available to anyone ‘needing to take time out for surgery or other medical procedures during affirmation’.
It is the language being used here that is deceitful on an industrial scale. People suffering from gender dysphoria are constantly being offered something called ‘affirmation’. But surely what is intended is the exact opposite – rejection. This so-called ‘affirmation’ involves rejecting their birth gender, telling them to reject the evidence of their own eyes when they look at their body, and to reject the science that says you are stuck with the genome pair you have – either XX or XY.
Where is the ‘affirmation’ in all that rejection? Another case of weasel words being used to hide the truth.
