Under Article 1 of the Brazilian Constitution, ‘all power belongs to the people, who exercise such power by means of their elected representatives or directly’. Apparently, however, nobody in Brazil has been allowed to question the transparency of the last presidential election. Whoever dares to do so ‘will be treated like criminals’, admonishes Justice Alexandre de Moraes of the Brazilian Supreme Court.
